Ladder
I was messing around with the pencil, and a fantastic idea came to my mind. Drawing a passage, a ladder which goes to... The darkness place you've ever been! (?)
Soooo after playing a little, I got this.
I realized that the "black square" it's not totally black, as it's like gridded. Well, not gridded, but it keeps that little white points, and I wonder why .-.
Am I doing something wrong? How can I avoid that? is it normal? I did it with a 2B pencil in a "Copy paper" (If that matters)
Also, I think that the part of the ladder that is "inside" (visualy) the black square it's a quite better, like it has more texture and contrast, but then when it comes out it looks... rare, kind of flat I must say.
How can I fix that? I could not find the problem .-.
Yep, too much questions for a simple ladder, but hey, I wanna learn something xD

Isn't there a smudging tool that will get rid of the speckles in the black square. I don't actually know because I only paint.
The ladder does look very good to me.

Yes there is a smear stick and cardboard watch ya ma call it. You can used bristol board which has no texture. However learning the pencil strokes on textured paper is valuable experience.

Hmmm are you talking about the blending stump? If you are, I alredy used it, but there is no case .-.
So Just, you are saying that it can be the paper? I should try today drawing with the same technique in different kinds of paper, to see what happens
The drawing is not so big, maybe 7x7 cms (2.7 Inches)
So the white points are reeeaally small .-. but they are there, and I hate them (?

It is a result of the grains in the paper. You should be able to get rid of them with a blending stump. There is a different kind of paper called bristol board that doesn't have grains. However grains are not the enemy. They provide texture and allow for better layering. Learn to work with them.
Thanks Just for helping ^^
