Hi, I'm just trying to see if anyone has any ideas on possible ways to do what I'm wanting to do. I'm about to start carving an impression onto a wood sleeper that will be placed into my garden. I thought it would be cool if I took some woodblock prints off it once carved. However the issue I have is that I will be carving the piece as it's meant to look, not a mirror so the block print comes out facing the right way. Anyone know of a technique or trick that will allow me to carve the impression as it's meant to be and then take a block print of it but not have the print then be a mirror of the carving. I want the carving the and prints to face the same way.

Many thanks
Mike

I like impossible :) makes it more fun. Might have a play first with some sort of transfer system where I can print it onto something and then press that onto the finish paper. With run some tests and see what happens. Thanks for the cents so far. I look forward to hearing from anyone else that might have an idea, even if just a theory.
