I have been asked to replicate this look here: http://www.kellywearstler.com/wallpaper-1-1/channels-wallpaper/GWP3417.html

As you can see, it's a wallpaper from Kelly Wearstler and it cost way too much money and my client just wants to use this as inspiration but I'm having trouble deciding how I should go about it.

From looking at it, I almost want to try sharpie markers in different thicknesses and tip shapes.

My other thought is to use a watercolor marker but I'm afraid I won't be able to find the variation in tips I need.

I've also considered acrylic paint with a glaze to thin it out.

Does anyone have any experience with using sharpie or markers on a wall (and sealing it afterwards)?

This is going in a bathroom with your typical latex painted drywall so I want to be sure it's not going to run if water is splashed on it.

Any suggestions?
