*I'm trying to forsee potential consequences if I start making self portraits and selling them, or doubling as a model?
I have no concern about family or anything.
I'm wondering how common it is in the art world to do both, and if it brings down any credibility as an artist?

Frida Kahlo did some nude self-portraits (albeit with stark, surrealistic overtones and juxtapose imagery); Julie Bell-Vallejo is probably the best example as she was a professional, title-winning bodybuilder and model before she married fantasy artist Boris Vallejo and got into the art world. She's used herself as a model numerous times to portray a character who may not be nude per se but leaves little to the imagination.

There have to be many others I just don't know. Or, maybe there are blessed few and here's your opportunity to dominate a genre! If you're good at art and you look good nude, why not?
