OK.. here it is.. a contest..

If anyone guesses correctly.. I will paint a picture for you.

My Wife, Tam, and I were married on Aug 26th and 27th, 2000. Why twice? I'm not telling you... you need to try to guess. It's actually a pretty romantic story.. but I won't say anything else.

PS - Talking to Tam will void the contest (yes.. she'll tell me if you do.. ROTFLOL!)

Wow!! Great guess.. and you are spot on. My Mom died a few months before we got married. My Dad was a Pastor.. and wanted to marry us... but he couldn't make it to the wedding since we were in Canada and He was in Florida. Also he had no license in Canada.

So on Saturday Night (Aug 26) .. My Dad called us on the phone, we put it on speaker.. and he performed the ceremony. It was incredible! In our eyes.. this is our official date of our marriage.

On Sunday (Aug 27) .. we went to the JP and had a "legal" Canadian Wedding so that Tam could get across the border. The official papers were signed at that ceremony.. and that is (In the eyes of Canada) our official date.
