Styrofoam sculptures

Hi, anyone here knows how do they make beautiful sculptures from huge Styrofoam boards? They are gaining popularity and is now widely used in art and decoration (both exterior and inside). I had done some clay modelling, but no experience with these polystyrene art forms. If anybody has some experience, please share.

While researching on this topic I found a amazing interior design using Styrofoam at Palm Island Dubai
Any idea how do they make such crafts with proper finishing?
