From the manufactures 'Masterpiece' you can get Golden Ratio canvases, but I guess they would not be considered standard. At least not yet. Just wanted to share that. I'm thinking I want to get some of these one of these days.

There dimensions are:

Standard sizes for canvases are probably not as important because they can be hung without a frame.

I guess it would be 20" x 24".

Ha, ha Terry, I guess you've been spending too much time at the canvas!

The reason I was asking is because I noticed on pre cut mats the opening is one standard frame size lower, so I was wondering what size a mat with a 16x20 inch opening would be.

Liz.. that depends on the cut of the mat. Typically they are ~1 - 2" wider than the opening.. but that can range a lot!
