Thanks I'll take a look there. I look around and feel sorta amateurish here, looks like lots of very good artists. And even people claiming they are new seem really good must be lots of raw talent. I just do it because I love it. Working with acrylics lately having fun playing with them and learning new tricks.
I have done it all.. I worked in acrylics when I was in High School and liked the fact you could thin them to watercolor thinnes and cover up mistakes. I then moved on to watercolor and then found colored pencil kwhich I love. The control is so much better, but the various tricks of watercolor do not exist in colored pencils. I would say colored pencils are my favorite and what is facinating is you can "burnish" them with solvent to fill in the teeth so there is not the color of the paper showing through like applying color with a brush in watercolor. It's a facinating medium.Yeah first place I went looking for info after i got my acrylics together to get started trying my hand at that was google finding out what I could. So far dispite the mess it creates aside from doing my scarabocchio it is one of the most enjoyable art experiences of late.
