Hi all,
I'm a new member here, from the Netherlands, and I wanted to show you all some of my work. I am looking forward to any replies.
The two works included in this post are reproductions of original oilpaintings.
One is a reproduction of "Magdalen with the smoking flame" by Georges de la Tour.
The other is a reproduction of "The death of Marat" by Jacques-Louis David.
Both works are done in pen and ink. The drawings themselves are 60 x 85 cm on a A0 piece of paper, and each work took me around 160 hours.
Ofcourse I have other drawings which are not reproductions, but are my own original pieces, but I thought this would be a nice way to start
EDIT: I drew the picture of "The death of Marat" in a higher contrast than the original piece, because I felt the higher contrast is more theatrical - which I like - and it makes more use of the black-white character of the ink.
