Hey guys,
I might need to ship my artwork from illinois to california and am having a few challenges. hoping someone can give me some pointers.
1. UPS is quoting me 1500 dollars to box, ensure and ship 5 pieces of artwork. the largest dimension is about 52"x27"x4". This is way too much money for me to spend and i'm wondering if anyone has any other ideas here...?
2. a friend suggested actually taking the canvas off it's frame and rolling it in a tube. I'm just concerned that the paint might crack, but i've seen it done before. any thoughts?
3. someone ALSO recommended buying a special kind of paper to put over the canvases before putting bubble wrap around them to protect the paint. don't know what kind of paper this is, but hoping someone out there does!
anyway, i know this is a lot of confusion on my end, hoping someone might be able to help withs some of it. my biggest concern is just getting the artwork out here.
