Hello,

I'd really appreciate if someone could identify the medium in which the attached artwork was done in. If you could, please also include the artist' name. It is taken from a John Abercrombie album (Gateway), but that's all I know. Thank you.

I don't know, but if I were to attempt to recreate it, I'd likely use acrylic or water-soluable oil paint. It appears to have been done on real cloth canvas (as opposed to canvas paper). Even though it has the feel, I'd rule out watercolor because the masking in the clouds looks too thick for watercolor to me and the color over color too opaque.
