Hello All,
I do figure sculpture. I have only used water based clay and fired the sculptures. I love water based clay but I feel it has limitations.

I want to do figures that are light enough to use on an armature, smooth in texture (not too grainy) and able to make molds of. In addition to 1-2 ft tall works, I would like to work in half life size for a full figure and or 2x larger than life for a bust.

Anyone know what time of clay this artist is using?

I enclosed a work in progress so you can see what kind of work I have been doing.

I would love some help figuring this out materials. Thank you!

Oil/wax based clay. The most popular is Monster clay.
