Hi everyone! I just quit my job (as an accountant) to pursue my love of art with my husband. So, together we are illustrating logos, kid's books, whatever! He uses pen and ink and I color (mostly digitally) now. Starting out is really tough though. There are so many places and ways to try and market your art.

I'm curious how you guys find people to "like" your page on facebook? Just to gain popularity online, more of a social presence. Or get traffic to your website? All of our work has been word of mouth for so long that it's a bit daunting looking for new clients for commissioned works.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Likes on FB won't get you money...that's for sure-you can have 100 likes and sell art or have 5000 likes and sell nothing.Yes,FB,Twitter<Instagram all the social networks will help your portofolio.I have over 1000 likes and sales are bad,I'll be honest with you.How I got 1000 likes?Well I'm on dozens of artist forums/groups etc and post my works everywhere I can.
