I just purchased 16 large canvases (36x36 and larger) from a retiring photographer.. each with a very high end photo firmly glued to the canvas. These were done by a company out of Kentucky (I think) and are professionally done - photo is printed on a thick multi-layer paper then glued and pressed rolled onto a canvas. I need to remove the photo so i can paint on the canvas.
Let me be super clear - this is not a question about removing the glue. Thats easy. I'm hoping somewhere here can give me tip on peeling the photo away in one piece (or at least less than a hundred). I tried a heat gun (too slow and the paper underneath likes to ignite), wallpaper remover (very little help), super hot water (not use). Must be a steam or dry ice method. I tried googling this and contacting a company that mounts photo, no luck.
Thanks in advance.
