My first paper mâché model since I was at school x

This is my horse sculpture x I am really pleased how it turned out x made with a wire coat hanger and paper towels/ pva glue x

Did come out well. You did good. PM is a very old way of sculpting & it often looked down on by some. No reason to. I've made large floats for parades that lasted decades. You can use many materials, some capable of withstanding the elements. Armatures can be varied, from wire, toothpics & sticks, foams, anything that will fill th' bill. PM also makes up a good under layer to support thinner layers of the final sculpting material, to save wieght & cost.

Actually, Bush, flour is a poor additive. weak & brittle. I think she mentioned she used glue, probably with water. Another thought: what is fiberglass but a form of PM?
