I realize that everyone has different mediums that they use to express their creativity. :smile:

Some folks are painters, some folks sculpt, while others may sketch or photograph the world around them.

What I am curious about is if you use MORE THAN ONE medium to explore art?

If you predominately paint, have you also tried sketching?

Does your artist creativity carry over into other things, such as writing or music?

For me, I see art everywhere. I could happen to see an outdoor water faucet and my mind start creating art. When I am "people watching" my brain starts writing. I see a story in everything...

I never considered myself artistic. I could kind of draw somethings and did doodles and I love decorating (not that my house looks great), but I just one day got the urge to paint and went to a work shop and you all know the rest. It's funny because just today I mentioned to my husband I wonder why just out of the blue I got the urge to paint....it's not like we have a painting hormone or anything like that.

I don't feel I am particularly artistic with 2D mediums. I can't dance worth a darned and I never was able to pick up music. However, I consider horse training to be my other "art". I say that because it is most certainly not a science. One cannot simply go through a series of movements like a checklist and be effective with horses. One must have "feel" and read the energy, manipulating another animal with finesse and subtlety. Watching a really skilled horse and rider is also very moving, pleasing to the eye and emotional. That, to me, is the definition of art.

Besides drawings,painting and photography..I would say my other art would be dancing like hip hop .I just love learning some moves..the rhythms.and sweat.it feels good...I also tried some writing...and never shall I do it ever [email protected][email protected]

Hmm I do not consider my self very creative. But I should say I express my self diary with jokes >.<
I'm that kind of guy that always can make a joke, even if it's a sad situation, and you will laugh cuz... don't know, people (incluiding me) just laugh >.<
It's pretty hard to do it in the forum, as my brain doesn't work in the same way when I'm talking (or writing) english. It's not the same

Should say I also write... stuff, don't know how to call that kind of texts

I did try writing..and I still enjoy it...I did try wire wrapping and wire sculpting.I was pretty artistic my whole life as much as I can remember(not good with music though...)

I began exclusively with graphite about 5 years back. Then I got a digital tablet. I picked up watercolor and Watercolor Pencils about 1 1/2 years ago.. Truth be told.. When I don't feel like dragging tools out.. I LOVE the digital aspect. I can do graphite drawings.. watercolors, Oil Smudges (about my favorite thing to do), caricatures, and just have fun with my tablets (Wacom Bamboo & Samsung Galaxy 10.1)

Started drawing in sand, went to pencils (new invention), charcoal (from the dinner fire pit), inks, oils/acrylics/W/Cs, glass/metal/foam/concrete/wood/putties, spray. cumpooter... A few left out but my ol' braincells are foggy.

I have used charcoal from the fire pit as well.. it works very nicely.. Of course being a Bushcrafter it seemed normal to me..
