Found those Impressions interesting. For anyone who is also interested,
here are a few impressions from the life of a painting student at the
Imperial Academy of Arts, named after Ilya Repin, in St. Petersburg.

Admission requirements and exams.

I have a short attention span, I burn out after an hour or so of painting. I cannot even imagine the level of dedication these students have to art, or to anything else. Fascinating to watch them.

Thanks for sharing this. You always have such interesting posts. 😊

Yes, that's interesting and dedication in the truest sense of the word.
But one should not forget that what matters to them is their education
and a good diploma. I also really admire the people who sit as a model.

So, I used to have no problem devoting myself to one thing for hours,
whether painting or something else. Especially if I was really interested
in it. Its a little lesser today :)

I think part of that comes with age. I have arthritis in my joints and neuropathy in my feet. It's very uncomfortable to stand for more than a few minutes or to sit in one position for very long. But my mind doesn't stay focused as well it did years ago either. Youth has its advantages.

But age brings different blessings. I have learned that God loves me, and that brings me a peace of mind I never had when I was young. 😊
