I'm a little stuck on what do use?

Ok so I would like to start animating and I'm plan to do so is using a multiplane camera. So I will be using multiple sheets of glass which will have my drawings on it. Well the problem is what should I use to draw on glass? Can anyone think of what might work? I will have to clean the glass of so it can't be permanent.

I didn't know that animations are still done that way, I thought it's all made now with a computer.
