Hello everyone,

Has anyone started doing studio visits online or in-person (when it was allowed!)? If so how did you find it?

I'd be interested to know what your experience has been because we've started a small platform that's trying to facilitate this. So far it's been difficult to get visitors, especially younger art-interested people, as they're scared to meet the artists. They think they may not be clever enough or may not ask a good question. I think this is all nonsense!

I've been trying to explain and make the website more friendly and open, but I think it's more of an information problem. That artists are actually nice and friendly people! They're not grumpy or unfriendly, this perception is very untrue!

If you'd like to check us out, feel free to take a look https://www.visitmystudio.com/ - if you'd like to join us on our journey to change the perception of artists being anti-social and unfriendly - sign up and we will send you updates about how we get on. :)

Thanks,
Emil

Have a great day, emiltetznerharris! You are doing an awesome job providing this service. I met some people who were really afraid to ask something about art. They are afraid to look stupid and not educated. In the time of the global lockdown pandemic, the art studious not doing great at all, you found a good way to promote yourself(and your business) and educate people! For my photo arts presentations, I use this streaming service brightvisionevents.co.uk. You can try this site as well, and these guys provide excellent quality audio/video conferences for up to 2000 live visitors.
