hi, im new to the forum and would like to introduce myself. im asmodeus, im a collector and i also dabble in oils and charcoal. im no where near as good as some of the work ive seen on here.
when i first started out my interest in art was only financial, buy a piece as an investment then sell it on. its only when i saw the work of leandro soto i began to take a more personal interest.
now instead of £ or $ signs, i want to learn and to look for the heart behind the work. how the artist was feeling when they first dip the brush and stare at the virgin canvas. the elation of the first stroke, the anguish of the pause between shapes and form. the delight of the completion. what drove the artists to turn imagination to reality and share their innermost desires and fears.
im always willing to learn and understand from every type of artist i meet and i hope that my time here with you will also expand my understanding.
fates be good to you all
