~ Gems Amongst The Hedgerow ~ I marveled at the crystalline ice forms I found as I walked along a hedgerow after a recent October snowstorm. Delicate in their structure, the icy gems were tenacious in their grip exerted on the scrub and trees growing on the windbreak. The reflected sunlight glistened in stark contrast to the many hues of brown, grey, and green most commonly found along an old New England stonewall.
