Is diamond art hard to do ?

I have been engaged in diamond painting for some time now and find great pleasure in it. However, I've encountered a problem for which I hope someone might have a solution. Recently, I made a mistake and had to remove a considerable number of diamonds from the canvas. Unfortunately, they have become quite sticky as a result. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to effectively remove the sticky glue without causing any damage to the diamonds?
