It's 2 in the morning here. I'm in a sort of competition, kinda like a game jam where you have to solve a certain assignment in a time span of 48 hours and basically I'm running on sugar and food colorings right now.
This is why I avoid lack of sleep. And too much soda. Seriously. I'm awake as all hell. Completely hyper. Yep.
Some kid claimed the wall was his best friend, just now. I think he may even be further gone than I am.

Oh- I think it's starting to wear off. Welp, onto the crash : DDD

I swear to God, I'm pretty much thinking in caps lock right now.

Anyways, how're you guys doing?

Good morning. Nobody around here is sleeping either. Up at 3:00 am for us..luckily kid is still sleeping. Headed to take team pictures at 8:00 am this morning then a game and then see what the rest of the rest of the weekend holds. Have a great day.

Today I need to do wash and pack up for the trip. I'm leaving tomorrow in the wee hours of the morning. I will probably be on the forum now and then via my cell phone, but maybe not. I'll be back late on the 25th and have the girls that Saturday. Planning to take them to the county fair.

I hope everyone has a great week.

Still on the great house hunt here...I swear they are all starting to blend together now. This is supposed to be fun...but it's not. :unhappy:

One day, I will get more new art loaded. My stupid kindle won't let me anymore, which annoys me. I have to use the desktop, which is in another room.

Some good news...have sold a few cancer awareness items from my online stores, which is nice. I enjoy getting my art out there. I really wish I could partner up with someone, where a portion of sales goes to research, but I'm sure that would involve a whole slew of things I don't have time for right now.

Happy Saturday everyone!! :vs_bananasplit:

Got back from Davenport last night. It was a hard trip. We took Patty to her chemo and radiation treatments each day. Her old dog was sick and made a mess (quite literally) of her carpets and she has been too weak to keep up with it so we rented a steam cleaner and cleaned her carpets and I had to clean the dog because he was also a mess. I was trying to talk her into letting us take the dog to the vet but she knew they would want to put him down so she would change the subject and I did not want to push. The one piece of good news is it seems the treatments are working! When we brought her home after her treatment yesterday, the dog was dead! :fpalm: I am just glad we could be there for her.

Had my best night of sleep last night because I was in my own bed!

Have fun on your trip Terry!

Hope the house hunting gets easier Leigh Ann.

How did it go with the competition Inge?

Can't wait to see your next project Chanda.

Be blessed everyone! :vs-kiss:

Well, we didn't win (though we kinda knew that form the start, as most teams had professionals with them and we sat there with five students), but it was a great experience nonetheless.

As for critiquing; I personally don't really feel the need for an extra section for that. If people see ways I can improve my stuff, I don't mind them telling me about in the general thread. At school we tend to be almost blunt in this sort of thing, so I don't take offense to criticism easily.

Perhaps it would be an idea to ask people to include in the threads they make for their stuff wether or not they want criticism? I can understand someone not wanting to get a whole lot of critique on some rough sketches that they just felt like posting, but maybe one would want feedback on something they just can't seem to get right.

I also think that if we all keep it civil and constructive, it won't get all that argumentative. Feelings getting hurt usually happens when someone seems to have forgotten that there's another human being on the other end of the screen and this is not the type of site to attract rude people.
However, I do like the idea of a form to fill in. I could include things like composition, color, anatomy, etc (if something isn't applicable to a certain piece it wouldn't need to be filled in of course).
Maybe forms for different types of art?

@Susan; very sorry to hear about the dog :c But I'm very glad these treatments are working
