Happy Memorial Day. No news here.

Start painting the next picture, 'The Cabin". I'm planning to take my time on this one. I don't feel so enthused about this one right now, I don't have a photo to go by for the scene so I'm just winging it and keep vacillating what I want to do with it.....sunny day...or cloudy day...season of year for the trees, stuff like that. I find that I usually do my best if I paint the time of year of the actual season that we are in....you know in summer hot, winter cold...I can't put my heart into painting snow when the temperature is 90 degrees out.

Funny.. I have felt that way for the past week or so.. I push myself to keep up with exercises and practice.. but I just can't seem to get some work done.. Funny how that goes.

Hi all. Been meaning to draw myself but not into it. Finding every excuse under the sun not too..but I have to do it. I am SO CLOSE. Been a work weekend with a little play thrown in. Letting my kid ride his horse every day..Don't think that's going to happen today. It's cloudy..rainy and cool.

Kinda bugged about this weather. Days in the 60s and 50s is not conducive to gardens. The only thing I have growing right now that likes this weather is my peas. Come on sun..come on warm!

The cabin looks good as far as it goes but I think David is right, looks like the reflection is a bit left of the cabin.

This is weird, yall talking about your "dry spell", I have been trying to talk myself into working on my eagle, but then I figured, if I succeed in talking myself into it, I probably won't do my best.

Wow...50's and 60's? It's 83 here today.. we're sweating it out!
LOL. This has been one funky spring. It has been cool and it has stayed cool. Even when it's warm the winds are cold. We have gotten used to it at this point and generally won't wear jackets when outside..only when it's really windy will we do so because that will bring the real feel down quite a bit. Right now we have yet to hit the 80 degree mark but they are saying maybe next week we might. I look forward to that! Right now my thermometer says 58 degrees and this is what the sky looks like.

LOL -- that's funny, I thought I was the only one that answers one thread from another one...LOL

I did answer in the other thread. I think the reflection looks shifted because you all can not see the masking tape on the house because it's painted over. The house is larger than it looks and when you use a ruler to line up the reflection to where the edges actually are it does line up. Once the masking tape is off it will look lined up, at least I think so.
