Hi Chanda I just finished the picture of Athena. I had a lot of trouble with the eyes. I'm looking forward to your critique. You have helped me a lot. I think the hardest thing to do is to see ones own blunders.

I have a busy art day planned. Going to work on a picture of a chocolate lab I started a while ago and I've been waiting to dry. Also going to start the picture of my Grandson Jackson. It will be my first attempt at him.

The weather is very wet. Really missing my dog Happy. I have three others but Happy was my cuddle buddy.

Hi all,
Having started my next drawing, I'm slowly progressing.
My obsession with details and accuracy mean it takes an age to complete a portrait, and this is no exception. Although, simpler than my last piece, I am loving the journey.

I'm sort of at a stopping place in my art and am finding it difficult to sit down and paint or draw. I do have some small canvases with the background painting on them, set up and ready to start..sometime.

Now that spring is here, I'm outside all day working in the orchard, gardens or park. The daffodils are coming up and blooming! Trees are in bud and the weather is fantastic!!

I'm first and foremost a gardener, happiest when covered from head to toe in dirt.
