Good morning all!

I hope you guys are doing great and are able to get a little art in today..for those of you who have been down and out and unable to get any drawings or paintings done I hope things improve for you quickly.

I woke up with a massive headache and what feels like a headcold..though I don't know..it could be allergies or related to pressure changes. Its a cold day here today. I took some meds so hoping it mellows out enough so I can draw at lunch.

I started my next drawing yesterday. I am afraid this one is going to be a challenge. The horse is at a funky angle and the kid ... well people aren't my favorite things to draw ... I have to do well on this so am going to take my time and try to do it right. Maybe I will share it today..maybe not..it's in what I would call a "hot mess" stage. It looks really really bad. I need to work on my lines a bit more I think. I don't usually have this many issues with the outline. Maybe because I feel pressured to make this one special that it's not working out so well. I need to back up and calm down and approach it like my other drawings.

I just got asked by another person if I would do a drawing for him so, at the moment, after I finish this drawing, I have 3 more drawings lined up to do. This is my last one that will involve a horse though. The rest are just portraits of people. It's ironic that as much as I do NOT like drawing portraits it's what I get asked to do the most. I hate turning people away though and try to do my best for them.

Terry..I look forward to seeing more of your work today. I just adore your goat..I wouldn't mess with those horns if I was you. Maybe tweaking the nose a bit. The nose isn't folded..that's just shadows..I see that now. You are doing a stellar job. Keep it up.

I would say 80% of my drawings are in this state until approximately the half way stage. I am so tempted to just bin them at times. Usually I just stop working on them for a while, and when I come back, my attitude seems to have change. My Jessica Biel & Manny Pacquiao drawings both got started and left for quite some time before completion.

Really looking forward to your latest piece. :)

Morning Chanda and Carl. I've been reading posts all morning. I love that the forum is getting busier and what a bunch of great people are participating. It's a joy to be on this site.

I have a busy day planned. I need to go grocery shopping for the weekend an tonight I'm going to watch my oldest granddaughter in a soft-ball game. I'm having my Granddaughters over this weekend so I need a ton of food in the house. Those girls are constantly eating but are all as thin as tooth picks (so un-American -- LOL).

Chanda totally agree with you on the nose and that's why I love to post works in progress because you see things early in the game and at that stage they are fixable. In fact I worked on the nose a bit last night before going to bed.

I got my new glasses on Monday and I do see more detail now. Ugh, why did I wait so long.

So no drawing for me today. My indecisive kid! He has been saying over and over and over that he no longer wants to be in 4-H..ok..no problem. One less thing I have to worry about. Then last night he decides that he has changed his mind and wants to stay in it. I told him that if he stays in it he needs to be committed to it. He needs to do the projects and be fully in it. He agreed. So I called the extension office this morning and the deadline for filling out his release is TODAY. I had to rush over there at lunch to get his release signed. Little stinker.

Hope you both have had a good day so far. Sounds a little busy for you Terry.
