Hi Chanda and everyone. I went to doctor. I need to get better for the vacation. Got a steroid shot, that should do it.

No painting but I might do some drawing. I'm seeing in my minds eye a picture of a rustic cabin house, just a simple picture, maybe a dog by the steps. If I can do it right I'll see about doing it on a canvas -- maybe.

Definitely need to get serious about packing...not so much that packing takes a long time but it points out to me the things I need to buy for the trip if I don't already have them.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

I hope you feel better soon Terry! I would love to see your drawing when/if you decide to do it.

Not much time until you head off on your trip! I can't wait to hear a trip report. What fun.

I was able to get some work done on my drawing (doing the happy dance). No chance of working on it tonight and not positive about tomorrow. I have some vaccinations coming in tomorrow that I HAVE to be at the house to pick up and get in the fridge asap. I hope they pack them well..I am sure they will.

A sad day at the Mulno house. My Red Rumped Parakeet, Emmy died this morning, she was to be 21 years old on May 8, I have had her since she was 5 weeks old. Now Topper, the one I drew, is the last pet because our Cocker Spaniel, Sydney, died last fall. I worry about leaving him all day when we work because in his 23 years he has never been alone. I am trying to think of ways to give him company without getting another pet. If anyone has suggestions?...

I figure I will probably do portraits of Emmy and Sydney before too much time goes by.

God bless yall.

Well I think you need to get Topper a friend to keep him company while you are away.

We never have just one pet at a time. No animal wants to be solitary.
That is very true. Still not sure how we will handle this. I have no doubt it will work out. For the immediate, we got him a Pete the Repeat Parrot toy. He had one years ago, loved it so much he wore it out. When he saw the new one today he got all excited. It works on batteries, repeats everything it hears and flaps it's wings.
