It is a bristle brush. Hang on to it. It makes wonderful waterfalls grass and all kinds of things. Don't get rid of that one

If you don't have it, it is easy to "modify" one of your existing brushes with a pair of scissors.

My daughter was a hair stylist. She often did the "shag haircut" when it was all the craze. She had special scissors to do it. The process would be similar for doing it to a paint brush.
Look on YouTube for "how to do a shag haircut for women".
If you want. I can make a short video next week on how to do it. (I have several brushes that I could sacrifice one).

Can you provide more information about the source where you saw the brush? What does your photo have to do with the brush ?

 

I ain't so sure the brush is cut in a crownish way. To me it looks more like the typical fan brush after wetting, only in a flat.

Maybe it is just only a flat wet in thick paint?
