This piece was drawn for a college art class assignment. The theme for the piece was "reflection". I did not want to use a basic mirror image to draw and I wasn't quite in the mood to draw a reflection on rippling water or anything, so I decided to do a Google image search for the word "reflection". The search brought me across the photography work of Duane Michals. I absolutely fell in love with the original photograph, so I HAD to draw it.

This was my...third-ish white charcoal piece? It was the first one I had drawn with my dominant hand being healed back up instead of using my left hand (story to come another time).

I figured this would be a good place to start for sharing my work. :)

Let me know what you think! ^^

Wow! Very nice. I like the way you captured the reflection. I have done white but never to this degree. Keep up the good work.

I think it's fantastic. I had to look up the original photograph and agree - it's a great piece - as is most all of his work.

Nicely done.

Good work..I liked your idea of 2 faces in the reflection.
