Hi Guys

I'm new to this site (& relatively new to art). I have been drawing for around a year now & have swayed towards using pens.

I am happy with my progress so far (as a year ago i was under the impression i couldnt draw) but still feel like there are some improvements to be made & was wondering if anyone could suggest any techniques.

I tend to use markers (sharpie, promarkers etc.)

Her are some of my drawings, sorry for photo quality they were took on my mobile phone.

Thank you in advance :D

Welcome to the forum, Steve! Keep up the good work and you'll be amazed at how much more improved you'll be a year from now. Any progress to show on the lion?

Thank you for the welcome. No progress on the lion as of yet. I do canvases for family & friends so have had to start on a harry potter canvas for a friend. Hoping to finish that soon & get back to the lion.
Here's the drawing for Harry Potter so any suggestions to improve would be welcomed.

Good stuff man! Keep it up! The more you do, the better you get. Once I asked a "realism" artist how in the world he did his paintings and drawings. He responded "Just draw what u see". Everything from the smallest blemish to the oddest color , mix that with confidence and practicve and you will definitely on the right path".

Hey Steve have you tried using a winsor & newton 00 sable brush to do you ink lines with? It is a bit slower, but the effect is worth it.
