I was walking around in the house today and all the sudden words came in my mind. So I wrote it down, but after looking at the result I don't know why I wrote it or what it meant. What do you feel or think after reading these small lines:

The hunger for the cold and dark winter grows.
The only way to satisfy a heart turned to stone.
To relief inner pain by bathing in more, seems mercifull.
And to be consumed by it.

no sure what, it means. but at the same time you feel like it something old. an old sprit maybe. or it could be the beginning of something pretty cool. I would go back to it in a week or so and see if you can add to it or change something. ;]

Welcome Newlife :)

What you heard and remembered is quite prolific and poetic. I'm not sure what it might mean to you personally....

My thoughts... Winter is usually a time of self-reflection, when we go within (meditate) and listen to our own inner silence. It's a time of letting go old perceptions and beliefs that weigh heavily in the mind, heart and oul.

To be consumed by it.....when we meditate, every cell in our body is consumed or bathed in a divine light....very nurturing and healing. Come Spring we jump back into action to begin anew.

Hi Newlife, the poem mentions inner pain, so it almost seems like the speaker wants the pain to be outside instead of inside. Maybe he wants to observe it instead of feel it, or maybe seeing it would help him understand it better.
