I have similair pictures, absolutely love these birds, I used to wait forever for moments like these, rattling away when they took off or came down. Guess you did the exact same thing :biggrin: though I could be wrong about that.

As in 'rattling away', as in shooting with multiple fps.

Got it. I most often shoot in single image mode, but can shoot up to 24 fps. 😉

My last cam was a 40D which could do 6fps but I also switched to single image mode at times, though not with a goose around. But geez 24fps nowadays? wished I had such speed back then when shooting Kingfishers :biggrin:

Sorry man, this wasnt my camera but I google'd it for illustration purpose. The lens in the photo is a 100 to 400mm zoom if I'm correct and the only zoom I ever had was a 70-200mm.
