: Picked up a brush after 25 years

Hi, my name is Russ and I am a car salesman in Dundee.
I used to paint and airbrush 25 years ago but then life changed and time etc didn't allow for hobbies etc.

About 7 weeks ago while in Edinburgh and visiting Castle Galleries my wife and I were blown away by an exhibition of Rob Oxley.

To say his work inspired me is an understatement and I promptly went home and ordered some paper and pencils.

It's now been 7 weeks of drawing and painting most nights and I am progressing slowly and totally loving it.

I will create a gallery with my work from 7 weeks ago till most recent

Thanks for looking

and some of the latest work. Portrait was first time doing that type of painting and was for a good friend of a sadly passed away family member. Was quite scary but became thoroughly enjoyable
