Does someone know the art of how to create drums by recycling everyday materials like trash cans, sticks?

somehow had to giggle although my response most likely will work take it as an attempt of being funny :

take a stick... take some container and bash on it --> drums.

take iron things in different sizes and use another metallic object and bash on those things --> xylophone

so yeah basically take something and bash on it. if that sound pleases you then maybe start doing a rythm.

Yeah, it can be made easily with the cans. Open the sides of the can and cover it with any kind of sheets. Drum is ready.

You'll have to be a bit of a musician first.

Okay Guys all joking asside. An addition to being and artist I've aways encouaged all the arts in my house. We all play musical instruments. I have a nice collection of guitars, Basses, my wife plays the clarinet, we have friends who play. And I've always also encouraged everyone to see if they can do something unique to add new sounds. That being said my son plays the drums. Now my wife and I are very good average musician my son on the other hand is advancing by leaps and bounds and actually has a recording company following him on instagram and You tube. He is building a professional quality Perl EX drum set. It's funny that this thread has come up because my son is in the process of trying out some unconvention things to add new sounds to his drums. Now what I meant by the comment " You have to be a musician first" is you just can't add Item's willy nilly together and hope they make a good tone that complement each other. There is a bit of testing involved. He is in the process of adding a unique Item to his drum set, I've talked to him about this thread and we will make a youtube video showing the process involve. Now we are not talking about making a whole drum set out of recycled Items but making some unique recycled additions to a pro set.
