: Trouble finishing drawings?

Am I the only one with this problem, or is it a common thing? I have difficulty finishing my drawings, I'll work on it for about 2 days, probably only for 3-4 hours a day, and after that I never feel like finishing it... If it isn't done in 2-3 days it just never will be. An example would be a drawing I was working on awhile ago, Zoe Saldana as Neytiri, it was turning out to be one of my better drawings, but 2 days passed (probably ~6-7 hours), and I never touched it again...

Anyone else have that problem and/or have a solution for it?

Everyone artist has their own emotional time frame. Maybe ... you are one of the quick ones. I know artists who can knock out 2 paintings in a day ... and others who are lucky if they get one done in a month. It is just a sign of who you are. Enjoy it.

It is not uncommon to get bored with a current project and become anxious to start the next, best advice there is to push through and finish.

Another problem I personally face from time to time is I get bogged down, I hit a snag that I am not entirely sure how to get through, I usually set it aside, temporarily, until I have found or formulated a solution and then I go back to finish.

Don't worry, it's not just you... I have many unfinished drawings that I know that I'll never finish. But there are also quite a few which I have finished after storing them away untouched for years! You don't have to force yourself to finish them, but you also don't need to give up on them. Look through those unfinished pieces from time to time. You'll never know when you will feel like finishing them
