: Album Photos Not Loading Properly

Cannot seem to get my "Photography" album to load properly. If I click on the image I get an invalid notice. Tried giving this info on the link that comes up with the invalid notice but nothing has come of that. Anyone else having this problem? I don't think I have forgotten how to load pics in an album.

Good Morning Susan. Try changing the name in the Caption field. Go into Album and click on 'Edit Pictures' and change the Caption field of the ones that are a problem. This has worked in the pass.

Hey there,

Let us know if Terry's suggestion has worked out for you.

If it hasn't, I would recommend clearing your cache and cookies from your browser.

Richard.

Okay, so I tried Terry's suggestion first. Didn't work.

Cleared my cookies and cache on browser and a few other places. Didn't work.

Totally deleted the album and photos and set them up again. Didn't work.

My tablet says it does not support flash. Thanks for trying, I appreciate it.

you could always build a fire out of wood and eat marshmallows while looking at the stars instead, if its warm of course :)

The sags continues, no firmware updates available. Have no idea what to do next. I mean I can set the album up from my computer but my tablet is apparently having issues and I do not know what my options are? Good news for the forum, things are working. Bad news for me, things aren't working. :unhappy:

Maybe I will start the fire with a tablet?

I don't think it's your tablet. I tried to view your photos and got that 'invalid album' message also. The system uses the 'caption field' in constructing the address of the picture in the album. If it doesn't do that correctly it can't locate the picture so it says 'invalid album'.

What I think you should do is send a private message to Cricket VS and ARTadmin

when I try to view them I get the message "Invalid Album specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator".

Now, let's try to figure this out. I just loaded my "Lunch Mates" into my 2016 album and it's fine! :surprise:

ARTadmin and Cricket VS, I have discovered it is rejecting the new album. I can load the same photos in one of my existing albums but nothing works when I set up a new album. I have even tried twice to delete and re-start the album on my laptop instead of my tablet. Any ideas?

This is good, but it might get their attention better if you sent them a private message.

Try leaving out the "," in the title of your new album. When the system is creating the URL for the picture it might be throwing it off. It's just an idea.

I didn't use the quotation marks in the album.

I am only seeing 2 albums and both appear to be working.

Am I missing something here?

I have loaded and deleted the album several times. I just gave up, it is deleted. I have tried from my laptop and tablet to start the new album and neither worked. I can load pics on my existing albums but I wanted one just for my photography. For some reason the new album won't take.

Yeah I know..I was meaning that you might try taking out the comma. I put the , in quotes to show you that is what I mean so you would not confuse it with part of my sentence.

Did you try clicking and viewing a picture? That's where the problem was....I still believe it is in the construction of the URL address of the picture and the cause just might have been because she had a comma in the name of the album. This is worth a test. I'm going to do it.

TerryCurley

Well I tried the test and made a test album with a comma in the name and it worked fine, so I'm wrong.

I can attest to the fact that Susan was actually having the problem though, I tried to view the pictures in that album and got the 'invalid message' she was talking about.

I thought by some chance it could be something with the pictures so I loaded them in my 2016 album and they worked there just fine. I have since removed them because I don't want them there.

My life won't end if I can't have a photography album, but it is just weird all the way around.

it might be that you've gone over the limit.

How big are your files? Should we increase the max album size?

I have no idea how much I have used or what is the availability, (not very tech savvy) where or how can I check? And would I be able to load pics on my existing albums if that were the case?

I double checked our settings and don't see an issue that may have caused this, so it is truly weird.

The only thing I can suggest is to try again with another title to the album.

Thanks for trying! I changed the title and tried again, didn't work. I am leaving the attempted album up so you can see what it is doing, or not. I will also load the same exact picture in my "New Year, New Album" and you will see it works there.

Can you leave it in place for now while I ask our techs to see if they can figure out what is causing this issue, please?

Okay, I changed the captions, removing the comma and the date. For some reason, that made it work.

I have no idea why though.
