Hello! Welcome to the forum! It is so nice to have you!

Do not worry about your English. Please believe you speak much better English than I do French!

I will leave the loading pictures conversation to those more tech savvy than myself. :lamer:

Your sketches show promise. I suggest you might want to branch out and do things other than comic book type pieces, unless these are your characters and comic books are what you wish to do.

thanks Susan for reply , see comics easier that life drawings but to go in life drawing still need to improve my skill in this way , and happy with comics because was done in my way without looking for image almost with cat,dog and wolf, did good proportions without grids , hope my life drawing will be better, your drawing is amazing still like me with shading need to learn , still have no courage to do self portraits

03-21-2016, 09:56 AM
Welcome to the Forum!

Your proportions are very good which is surprising and the hardest thing to master for beginning artists. Do you have a goal in mind?(like a particular style and medium) Drawing from pictures is a great way to learn before you transition to life drawing. I still have a hard time life drawing and need more practice.

Keep up the good work!

11-19-2016, 03:46 PM
Just keep doing what you are doing, practice! practice! practice! Even the masters would practice and do exercises. It is the only way to keep what you have or to improve.

Don't be dissatisfied, these are wonderful!

11-24-2016, 12:43 AM

12-02-2016, 08:35 AM
colored pencil, with proportion missed
watercolor paper, staedtler 12 soft pensils(no big cost )copy from image found on the web(sorry not saved original, online was drawing)

12-09-2016, 11:52 PM
Hi everybody, just tell me if it looks not like comics, trying to go more on real people ,thank you in advance

12-10-2016, 07:24 AM
It looks like a comic mainly because the eyes are too big. The lack of shading only adds to the comic book appearence.

12-10-2016, 07:55 AM
Hello daisyfree,

I like your works. It's great to make what you love and learn! Keep it up :)

12-11-2016, 02:28 AM
Just, thank you for advise,
Eugenia, thank you -still not big work just trying to improve there and there

12-11-2016, 02:54 PM

Faces can be challenging, you have a decent grip on perspective but as Just suggested the eyes are too large and shading is a necessity if you wish to achieve realism.

She is pretty and shows you have much potential. Do keep practicing and maybe you can check out some tutorials on YouTube.

12-31-2016, 01:38 AM
Thank you , for advise , to all HAPPY NEW YEAR 2017

and litle something

09-07-2017, 08:59 AM
still comics or there is progress???

09-07-2017, 09:43 AM
Very little progress

09-07-2017, 10:05 AM
I have to agree with Just. Maybe you can try copying a drawing that you admire. One with lots of detail and shadow. Shadows and proportions need work.

I followed some tutorials to get up to speed. I'm no expert by any means, started late in life but I learned a lot following tutorials and getting feedback on this forum.

Keep at it. As long as you are enjoying what your doing you'll improve.

09-07-2017, 10:25 AM
