I was just adding a new photo to my "ToBePainted" folder and I was wondering how to add a description with it. Rather than a big long name, I'd like to add some info about where I got the image and other stuff. Ideally this info would pop up when I hover over the images.

Adding a comment to your picture would all depend on what you are using to store your pictures. The regular old Windows 'Picture' folders doesn't have that feature as far as I know, but if you use 'Photo Album' or something like that I believe it does.

Thanks but all that does is allow me to change the name of the file. A long file name isn't what I want.

click on the photo then click F2 - type in the info you want then press enter

Terry since I can't install something like that on my work PC, that won't work either. I'm really surprised that Windows doesn't have something built in to use. But, I guess those are the cold hard facts.

Thank you

I see what you want to do now, right click on the photo and click Properties - click the Details tab then under Title (type the text that you want to show up when you hover over it) then click OK, see example below

WOW Meli, I don't know how you found that out, but thank you. This definitely will come in handy and thank you Dick for bringing up the question.
