So, last nights painting experience in the new studio didn't go so well. My wife and I decided to try painting together on separate panels on the same easel. This was very awkward compared to when we worked on the same painting together and took turns adding paint. With separate panels on the same easel, we just totally got in each others way. We ended the night with 2 crummy paintings and I knocked the brush cleaning water off the counter in my efforts to reach around.:vs_blush:

I'll be buying my wife her own easel and pallet pad as she's really enjoying painting and I couldn't be happier. No more bumping elbows. When I left the house this morning she was watching a Ben Saber sunset tutorial on YouTube.

As for last nights efforts, I think I'll just put them aside and paint over them some day.

I bet it was fun painting on the same easel with your wife, but I sure can understand it would get old pretty fast.

I spent the day setting up my display at the new building for the flea market. Here it is.

Going to do some painting now.

That looks great Terry. I think we have something similar here...maybe I should check into it. I would have to frame my original drawings, or get prints made, and frame them.

Hi all!

My husband bought me an easel today! I never had one before. He wanted to get it for me for Christmas but I told him I didn't think I needed one (I was worried about space in the motor home) but we found collapsible versions that take up very little space! Who knew? I am psyched and hoping to try it out tomorrow. Maybe I am an artist after all!?!? :surprise:

It is cool that you and your wife can enjoy painting Dick!

Your flea market set up is wonderful Terry!

To frame or not to frame?...that is the question.

Congrats on your first easel Susan. Now you need to take the '?' off your signature.

I hope you at least had some fun, even if the paintings didn't come out well.

Very nice display Terry!

Cool Susan, I agree with Terry, you need to remove the ? from your signature, you are an artist.
