WOW -- New Year's Eve! Anybody doing anything special?

Hope everyone has a safe New Year's Eve. We are going to stay home and sleep.

I plan to spend the day priming canvases so I can start painting tomorrow. The kids are all home with their Mommy's and my home is peaceful again.
I bought a 24x48 canvas. This is the biggest I've ever attempted. If it comes out OK I'll be putting it over my fireplace. I'm planning to do the sunrise scene that I've done twice already. I only have 5 paintings in my house right now, I want to do more just for me. I have bare walls with lots of nails on them from pictures that have taken to the Flea Market.

Any body making any New Year's resolution. I actually completed my resolution for 2015, I lost 40 pounds this year. I think my resolution is to keep it off.

Good Morning,

I am working today. Probably struggle to stay up until midnight then crash and burn. Tomorrow will be quiet. Just hang around the house..cook up a ham and black-eyed peas and hopefully just enjoy the day.

I think at some point today I am going to layout the drawing I will be working on. It will be a picture for a friend..of her son who has so many developmental challenges including Cerebral Palsy. He is not much different in age than my son. I know it will mean a lot to her.

Hi all,

Happy New Year! My new year's resolution is to lose weight. I bought a large canvas recently too, 2 foot by 3 foot. Was at the thrift store for only $4! Not sure what I'm doing with it yet but thinking of painting a sailboat.

Happy new year!

Many blessings to all! And thank you all for instructions and encouragements, you have helped me improve my art over the past 10 months! :vs-kiss::vs-kiss::vs-kiss:

My resolution is to witness more for my savior, which will make me unpopular in many places (including here most likely) bur he is so worth it!

Party hardy but be safe!!!

I just finished priming 9 canvases. I'm ready to paint now. It's early but I don't feel like starting anything today. I have a bit of a cold and just want to rest. Tomorrow I'll really get into it. Can't wait!

In the meantime,I also sold a painting...is this a good sign for the next year? Hmmm...unless the customer changes his mind(hate when they do that).
See you next year lol...

Susan the 9 canvases will last me about a month.

Hey girl you need to take that "Wannabe" off your signature, you are most definitely an artist and a very good one.

Keep positive Asancta, they will love it so much and will want to buy more!

It makes sense to have a "canvas prep" day instead of one per painting Terry, I hadn't thought about that. :vs_smirk:

As far as "Wannabe", thank you Terry, I will consider new options. :vs_blush:
