What is conceptual art? Can anyone give me an example of it?

Conceptual art, sometimes simply called Conceptualism, is*art*in which the concept(s) or idea(s) involved in the work take precedence over traditional aesthetic and material concerns. An example is chess.

Any pictures you could post as example(s)?

Pictures wouldn't be relevant. What's needed is a good enough understanding of the game to see the art in the concepts of a position. Provided the position is an artistic one.

Here is another example:

The shark and the tank were assembled by someone other than the artist who came up with the idea.
