Here is my drawing of fish swimming with a great white shark:

I had to sharpen my blue colored pencil 5 times to get all the blue background. I based the shark off of this image:

My mom and dad both think I did a good job on the shark. What do you think?

Yes you did a good job. I like the school of fish too :)

Colored pencils have such small tips it does take a lot of time and a lot of work to cover an entire page, no doubt about that.

If I may offer a critique, take a look at the reference picture of the shark and see how the body narrows considerably just prior to the tail fanning out? That is one characteristic of what makes a shark look like a shark. Another is how long and pointy their faces are.

I'm so glad to see you back Caters, it's been awhile. You are doing great on your drawing. I really like your drawing of the fish and the shark. I can definitely tell it's a great white shark.

Thanks. I showed it to my grandma who has seen my other drawings and she says that she sees some improvement.
