Wordpress is prone to hackers. Weebly is a really easy way to put together an art site. It's free but if you want to use your own domain you need to pay for one of their plans.

If you do want a wordpress site, it is less expensive to put up a wordpress site at a traditional web host than at wordpress.com if you want to use your own domain. Most web hosts offer easy one click install of wordpress.
