Hi all!

Wanted to start a Daily Chat thread :P

I'm getting a cold! Again! I'm starting to freak out, my defenses are very low .-.

I almost get the full idea of my new drawing, have been looking for some reference images, now I just need that "click" in my head and I'll start :P

So, what's happening in your lifes right now? ^^

Hope you're having a good day!

I'm preparing some canvas. Sanding and putting on gesso. I do a few at a time. I also have 2 paintings to seal.

I mailed off my sister-in-law's Lilly painting. I hope she likes it.

Also went to the flea market this morning and someone bought a picture while I was there. That was a cool trip, but it was the only painting sold in over a week.

I've been doing some analysis and I realize the biggest picture I've sold so far is 12x16. I wish I would sell some of the bigger ones. I've set up a database on my computer to record the cost of supplies and the money received for paintings. So far I'm in the whole for about $1,500 for this year. Oh well...as I get better more will sell and I can ask more. My paintings range from $3 to $30, and I haven't sold any for more than $15 at the flea market. I know it sounds like I'm making this a business instead of a hobby, but that's my personality. I absolutely love numbers and analysis and don't really care if I make money on this venture or not because it's much too small to make any difference. But I'm enjoying every minute of it. I've got a deal with my husband....All my supplies comes from the household budget but I get to keep all the money I make for whatever I want. Is that cool or what!

I am sorry you aren't feeling well FanKi. I am with you though mine is STILL the same thing. I am on day 5 of antibiotics and while I feel better overall I have gunk in my lungs and chest and I think I need to get it looked at. After this time I shouldn't hear what I hear.

Weather is so craptastic here. Snow and cold. boo.

Hope you are all doing well!

Today I started three new paintings. All are waiting to dry before I can work on them any further.

15$ sounds really cool to me, at least here, that's good amount of money for an Independent art piece.

Chanda, guess we should consume more Vit C in order to don't get sick so often .-. (At least me, this year I've been sick a lot of times!)

I would like to share my work with you. It's a figurine made out of hand bent galvanized string, all in one piece. I call it Lajni. It's my own creation inspired by some string balls i came across once. Lajni's are into all kinds of interesting sports and activities. They promote a healthy lifestyle. Tell me what you think. You can also find more pictures on facebook and instagram. I update them daily. The first Lajni's I made were climbers. I am into climbing and so I was familiar with the movement. I like to get acquainted with the position I want my Lajni to be in. Being into all kinds of sports helps with this, but when someone wants something that I have never made before I have to do my research. Every Lajni is unique!

FanKi I remember this year both my son and my husband got pneumonia and even if both were coughing into my face I was fine. Also I haven't got a flu in years...guess more than 10(don't need flu shots either).I do believe the main reason is the diet-I follow a paleo diet(the best I can lol),mostly organic, mostly vegetables, a lot of green tea.I try not to drink tap water but can't always follow that.Anything that might damage my health,I try to avoid(even if once in a couple a months I buy a pack of cigarettes...hey am not perfect).Sometimes I struggle with depression and anxiety but since I've quit coffee I feel much better.Hope that helps.I guess you must try to avoid chemicals to enter your body...Try to keep it clean for 2 weeks or so and see what happens...

FanKi and Chanda...yes you both have been plaqued with colds now for awhile. I think some extra Vit C would not hurt and could help give you a boost. I've also heard that Zinc was good for the immune system. But who knows really. I'm not a doctor just a person that's been around awhile.

Hope you both start feeling good real soon.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Paleo diet. A friend of mine online has lost 70 pounds from using it over a year. She also has much more energy and is feeling worlds better.

I keep to a diabetic diet which is very much like a Paleo diet.

TerryCurley My husband has diabetis too...and that ruins his immunity too. After a bad episode of blood sugar over 600 and him in the hospital into nearby coma he finally started to care more about his diet and lost over 30 pounds. He is a vegetarian though,so no meat.
I think paleo diet is good because it doesn't forces you to quit meat entirelly(I for ex tried vegan and was a failure) but if you do then eat as rare as possible and only grass fed. Also quitting white bread and wheat bread in general is also a plus. What is hard about it is quitting milk products(I used to loooove blue cheese and camambert)...but eh ...

I guess the biggest problem is that this year I've went to a near bar a lot of times with my friends. The air there is so noxious, you are constantly breathing smoke from cigarrettes. I do not smoke and my diet is very healthy, but that may be ruining my body.

Can you please explain me a bit more about Paleo Diet? I do not have much information about and it sounds interesting

Hmmmm I'm getting the idea. Well, I'm not that far from a Paleo Diet. I do consume Milk products and a very low quantity of legumes, I consume grains (Mostly Rice), but as an sporter I found them like a great way of energy gain, even after reading your links .-.

Besides, I realized that Milk products are not the "most harmful" products in the common diet, so, they may not be killing me .-.

Hmmmm suggar... maybe I do consume lot of sugar, at least with my coffee .-.

We can say I have an equilibrited diet? o.O?

I bet again to that bar xD
