Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian members. Happy Columbus Day and Happy Indigenous People Day to us Americans.

Hope everyone is doing well this morning.

Yesterday I quit being on "Our Art Corner". They have an hourly event that pops up where you get to critique art for extra points. The last couple of days I was shocked and very disturbed by one picture which was definitely heavy pornographic and one picture that was extremely cruel. I do not need to bring that kind of art into my head so I just dropped them.

Hope everyone has a great day and please share it with us all.

Now I'm curious and I want to see that pic's you are talking about >.<
It's okey, if you don't like that stuff there is no need to be seeing it :P

Don't really know how this "celebration day" is called. I call it "The native genocide day", and I do not celebrate anything, not a happy story here.
That's interesting, what you people know about today, europe, and south america?

I've always believed that most of countries (incluiding mine) do not really teach what happened today (And, of course, the next days/months etc.), and the real facts are being hidden by teaching wrong or false history.

I think every country on Earth has had some history they are ashamed of and would rather forget. But history will repeat itself if a lesson isn't learned from it. I don't honestly know what is taught in schools but I don't think kids learn much from history class anyway. History is taught by Hollywood and attitudes are taught by parents and friends. In my humble opinion.

I agree with TerryCurley...history will repeat itself over and over again and we will never ever learn from past. Most countries want to brush off or just defend their past actions(don't think I need to give examples here).

Good morning.

I quit our art corner as well..within a month of being on it.. There was a particular judge who made it known he did not like my work and basically voted against me as much as he could as often as he could regardless of who I was up against. If the judging was done FAIRLY and if the contestants didn't act like this was the end of the world if they didn't win it might be ok. I lost against a complete beginner (and it was obvious it was a complete beginner) just because the judge was a jerk and either was friends with this person or had an issue with me. They pit me against photography and painting and modern art..and you can't do that. Related work should be judged against related work..to pit a graphite against a photograph is extremely difficult to judge and judge fairly. It's stupid..and when you have vindictive judges it adds to it. I had one person that I actually won against (by a different judge) basically tell me my work was rubbish and that I didn't put the work into my piece that she did. It was at that point I was like.. I don't need this..it's not a constructive site..it's not helpful..it's one-sided, unfair and VINDICTIVE. It's an awful site and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Aside from that..I have been sick..most of last week and the weekend. I am finally getting better. YAY.

Got a summons to report for jury duty - Grand Jury. BAD TIMING because I do a lot of work for the legislative session where I work and that happens pretty much the same time as this grand jury. Not sure what I am going to do.

Hope you all have a great day.

I know they booted out some "jerks" exactly for the same reasons you mentioned. You should've just complain to the site admin.

I did but they acted like they didn't really care so I figured they didn't care..neither should I! :-)

Guess is fair enough chanda95.You also must remember that the average age on that site(as far as I've noticed) is under 18 so u can't expect mature behavior.

Agreed. I noticed that myself. Unfortunately I do know for a fact the judge that had it out for me and my work was well beyond the teenage stage - in fact he is probably my age if not older. I don't understand how some people just can't grow up..lol. No sweat though. To each his own.

Really?Geeeee...I would understand it if it was for the money...but not on that site. You know,I've been playing many online games like FOE or GOW and many others and I noticed that even if people don't win money they still want to win and they would even put their money into it.It's so weird. It's supposed to be a fantasy and they take it serious. Some have some huuuge inferiority complexes lol
