I decided I am going to order some Business Cards from Vista Print for my little Flea Market venture. John and I have been having a conversation. His stance is "Why have business cards? What are you going to do with them." My brilliant answer has been "I want them.".

So I'm asking do you have a business card for your art? Has it been useful?

Your argument is strong and valid!

I have business cards for my art. They have been useful in the sense that sometimes I get asked for my website address so instead of writing it on a piece of paper I hand the person a business card.

When I get commissions for pet portraits I put in a few biz cards with the packed art, and if I sell a framed picture sometimes I'll attach a biz card to the back.

When you are making your biz cards, make them attractive such as maybe having your art on the front and your contact info on the back, that way people are less likely to throw them away.

I just ordered simple cards, no personal pictures on them. I wanted to go inexpensive. I was able to 250 cards for $14.48. That includes the shipping, regular mail. Still I think they look really good. They are glossy.

Wow, that's not bad for 250 cards. I was thinking of making postcards at vistaprint

Go for it Liz, Vistaprint is good. I used them when I owned Puppy Park (Dog boarding business). Of course I've never tried anyone else so maybe others are just as good or better.

By creating a memorable business card, you give potential art buyers, collectors, and gallery owners a reason to hold onto your information—making it easier to look you up the next time they need a special gift, art for their newly decorated home, or last minute fill-ins for gallery openings.

You can’t do business without this valuable marketing tool.

You can also get them on Zazzle. They have some mini ones that I have found very useful at times.

I also got stickers from there of one of my breast cancer awareness pieces, and put my information on the back, and when I went to Paint the Park Pink back in October, I handed those out. It was fun!

This is an old thread. I had the business cards made up last September. I got 250 of them and with the rate I'm using them I probably won't need any more in this life time.
