It's a gorgeous day out here. I guess I will take advantage of it and get some more mowing done today. Tonight I'll be going to a soft ball game my granddaughter is playing in.

I'm so immersed in my paintings right now, it's all I want to do and feel like doing anything else is taking away from my fun. I reworked two reject paintings yesterday and I think they are acceptable now. I have one other I'm reworking and will finish it today. I have a painting of 'Painted Tulips' started and will work on it today. BTW 'Painted tulips' is a type of tulip that has markings on it as if it were painted. They are unusual looking. I'm also planning to start a picture of a swan. That should be fun to do. Not too sure I can handle it but I want to try. I've done a swan before but it was very little. The main point of that painting was the lake. This picture the main point will be the swan itself.

John started building the stand alone wall for me to put my paintings on display at the flea market. I will paint that (with wall paint) when he's done. I would really like to get the display up by Saturday but I don't know if it will be possible. I'm renting the space by the month so there is no rush actually.

Luna I'm curious are you going to do the art for that band? I hope you do, it will be a fun thing to see developed.

Is it just me or does the forum seem to be slowing down again? :surprise:

Hope everyone has a great day.

I hope you have a great day.

The forum does seem to be slowing down. It ebbs and flows seems like. I was enjoying the more activity. Unfortunately this time of year is extra busy. My kid has soccer practices on Mondays and Wednesdays..awana on Wednesdays..Soccer games on Saturdays..we have to fit in school and his horse and house work and everything else..I like to come in and see what everybody is doing artistically even if I am unable to share as much as I like. Once November hits we will be done with the fall soccer season so maybe I will have a little more time to post.

Mornings are getting downright chilly..jacket weather I think. 42 this morning.

Will try to check in more often.

I have been wanting to refine my current WIPs, but work has been insane this week. No long hours or anything, just mentally exhausting. I get home, do my 30 minutes of studying, take care of the [live] horses then have no energy left for my sculptures :( I need to make time tonight, seeing as I am leaving town all next week.
Hopefully next week's trip will give me some inspiration. I'm going up to a family member's ranch to break in a horse for him. This horse is absolutely magically beautiful, so I am hoping to glean a bit of inspiration while there and come back recharged and ready to do 6 more sculptures!

Terry, I look forward to seeing a swan by you! I lived briefly by a lake that had a swan. Fun to watch!

Make sure to invite your friends to join and if you are on social media, share our site with others! We need to focus on starting new threads that I can share to attract more artist to join us.

Heeeeeeeyyy! yeah..the forum is beginning to slow down again...We must face it, the busy months are here again...so more focus there...and I'm slightly beginning to give up...~-~...*sigh*...I prefer being physically and mentally tired..but emotionally?..nope...I need a month vacation to build myself back again....oh gosh..look at the time...comic time!..
TerryCurley I can't start the logo yet since fcp didn't give me the permission..I might ask him some little stuff about his band for their logo..^^...

I currently still have 2 WIPs waiting for me ; A ; ya'll just be surprised when they're both done..^^..

Ya'll be safe now!

Hmm yep it seems to be slowing down a bit.

In my case, I'm very tired lately. Mentally, phisically... I don't have vacations since... 2012? I did from school or work, but I keep training, stressing, and this summer was supossed to be very relaxing... and it was, but all ended in a total chaos then so it wasn't really worth it or useful.
I need to leave the city at least some days! Stop doing everything, see the sky a couple of hours, staring at the sunset. Rest. I need to rest.

How it was the game, Terry?

Johanna's (granddaughter) team won the first game and then John and I didn't stay for the second one. I was feeling sorry for the other team, they just didn't have it together and they were obviously depressed -- I blame the coaches for that. They're only kids, it's a shame to see kids down over a stupid game. The score was 11 to 0 by the end. A game is a lot more fun when the teams are evenly matched.

The chapel picture was presented to the recipient (Jack) today and he was surprised and delighted! The end of season party also included housewarming gifts because this couple (Jack and Karen) were given a house and are moving into it in the fall when we are all finished here. My husband and I bought them a collage picture frame and I added two small drawings to it, one of the sign beside the church that says Park Chapel and one of the gazebo next to the church where we fellowship with coffee and doughnuts before Sunday services. The party was a fantastic blessing for two people that truly deserve it.

Terry, what an opportunity to have this venue for your paintings!

Cricket, outside of mentioning the forum how can we share it? I am not very computer savvy.

The forum will get busy again I am sure, everything has an ebb and flow cycle.

Blessings everyone!

The best way to share it is just to tell people about it and offer them the link to come and check us out. :)

Oooh Terry is a shame when stuff like that happens :/

Susan, congratulations! I'm very happy that your piece has been well recieved ^^

I would like to share the forum, but it's truly hard as I do not have so many friends involved in arts, and if they are well, the do not talk english >.<

FanKi has a very good point. I don't have artist friends in real life to share with either. I've shared the link a couple of times on FB but have never gotten any takers. I asked one of the instructors I correspond with to share the link and he did and we did get some new members but they didn't stick.
