Good morning all,

Hope you are all having a fine day so far. We are half way through the year already..kind of crazy to think about.

Been busy here. I got some more gardening done last night and did start my drawing yesterday..though I didn't get real far on it. At least I picked up the pencil.

Terry, I love how your portrait is coming along. I can't see what you posted today because this computer doesn't allow it but I did see what you posted yesterday and I must say..I am impressed.

Thought I would share my morning sunrise picture..of sorts. Guess the sun had already been up for a while but still. I wish I had my big camera with me..I could have actually captured how spectacular it really was but it was still cool. This was taken with my cell.

Have a great day everybody!

I forgot you can't view photobucket pictures at work Chanda. I wanted to post a large picture so people could spot the flaws in the detail. Those thumbnails don't blow up very big at all...or maybe that is just for me. I just put up a thumbnail instead of photobucket picture because you give such wonderful advice I need you to be able to see what I've done.

I'm leaving in 15 minutes to take Josie (4 year old granddaughter) to an appointment. Then I'm going to Hobby Lobby. Then I'm coming home having lunch and going food shopping.

Perhaps after all that I'll get back to painting. I'm really enjoying doing this portrait but I think after it is done I'm not going to do any more portraits for awhile.

I've copied some pictures from the internet that I want to attempt painting. The good thing about not being too great of a painter no-one can accuse me of breaking copy right laws.

You all have a great day.

It is warm. ;____; Why is it so warm. I am Dutch, I am not made for humid, heatwavey nonsense.

Suddenlife: if u don't like the heat, whatever you do, avoid moving to Arkansas USA. The only place I have been, that felt worse, was Phoenix Arizona. You could not pay me to live there.

Terry: Painting is looking awesome. I finished my Mandala tonight/this morning (insomnia sucks), but haven't snapped a pic yet.
My next goal is to finish my tree drawing, then practice some sketching, since I haven't just sat down with pencil and paper in a while.

Happy Thursday!! :p

I'll keep that in mind :')

Ugh. It's even warmer now. It's 35 degrees celsius or something. Wasn't that around 95 degrees in fahrenheit or something?
Oh well. Hot. :c

Yes 35C is exactly 95F......HOT!.

Your country is not use to the heat. I'm betting most of your homes are not even air conditioned. When I lived in upstate New York my house wasn't air conditioned. Here in Arkansas I would die if we didn't have AC. Most summers we have a couple of weeks when it is over 100F (around 38C). It is brutal.

Yeah, our houses rarely have AC, so when it does get hot inside, it stays hot inside.
And wow, that is pretty hot indeed O.o

Oh grand. Splendid. It's finally cooling down; cue thunderstorm. :')

Arkies... 70s in the morn & 80s in the day. My 92 year mom moved from there to Fla. 96 on a cool day in the shade & over 100 otherwise. 112 in the sun. Humid. But we have great winters. No ice or snow & gardening all year. I notice the weather that once came across the gulf & gave us rain & relief is now giving the midstates some mean weather.

I live in Avondale Az. It's on the west side of Phoenix. I love it. I can not remember the last time I shoveled heat off my driveway. 122f was the record. That was hot. I think 118f the high so far this year. It's a dry heat and we have air conditioning.
