Okay, I have practiced drawing ellipses until I am literally cross eyed and they all list to one side. They look great until I try to make something out of them and then it becomes very evident that it lists. Any suggestions or tricks that could help me straighten them out?
Thank you.....:)

I guess using a template would be cheating...but that's what I would do. LOL

No cheating to use a template.. for example.. lids to jars make great circles. That brings up another question.. do you mean circles.. or ellipses? there's a cool way to draw circles by holding your finger in one place.. and rotating the paper.

BTW.. if you are drawing an ellipse.. Or a circle for that matter.. draw a rectangle first to the size of the ellipse. This makes it easier to keep even on both sides. Then sketch inside to the edges of the rectangle.

EVERYTHING can be drawn with Circles, lines, squares and rectangles and triangles as guides. If you learn to use them for your layout.. they make life FAR easier!

Thank you Terry and David.

I am talking elipses, I can draw great circles now.

It's funny you mention using rectangles because I was trying to draw wine glasses and found if I set one with in a rectangle it came out straight. Didn't occur to me to narrow that down to a single elipse. I will give it a try.
