I really like 'Solitude'. The tree is very realistic and so are the mountains.

The cabin one is a very traditional looking P&I drawing, and nicely done, albeit your first one.
Solitude however is unlike anything I have seen before, it is amazingly captivating, really well done D.

WOW. I think Pen and Ink is your niche. These are EXCELLENT..my favorites of what I have seen of your work so far.

Thanks so much Chanda..

Sometimes I am torn between graphite and digital. I don't particularly like pen (although I enjoy it) because I am an erasing kind of guy.. Maybe that's why I like digital. Makes me nervous thinking I'm going to make a mistake.. LOL!

I also am torn between portraits and landscapes.. I love both.. glad I don't have to choose!

I am rather fond of my eraser as well..that's why I stick with graphite and colored pencil. I have done a few pen drawings but honestly stuff like that makes me very nervous as well. You have handled both of these drawings very well.

LOL That's one of the reason's I like oils over acrylics. Oils can be wiped off with some mineral spirits for about a day after it was applied whereas acrylics are dried in minutes and then you have to live with it.

I could not have done what I did with the right eye on that tiger if I were not using oils. First I painted. Looked at it for about an hour decided I didn't like it wiped it out painted fir looked at it about an hour decided I didn't like it wiped it out and repainted the eye. Can't do that with acrylics.

The minute I looked at Solitude, I saw the branches of this lone leafless tree as a symphony conductor orchestrating the forest and it's majesty; I see the arms raising calling for a crescendo! Very nice!
